Does this combo do well?

Does the 15x8 rim with a 31x10.50 do well. Was there someone that said they did not like the combo or did it just not perform well. I just got a set of 15x8 rims with 2'backspace for real cheap. And I want to run the tires I have now on them. I am going to be running 33' in the future with them. Thanks alot TOM

I run them now and they do fine. Alot depends on what kind of wheeling you do.

Re: Does this combo do well?

That wheel/tire combo will work fine. It will also work with a 33x12.50 for your future upgrade. Good thing it's got the small backspacing, otherwise when you upgraded to 33's, you'd probably find the front tires would rub the springs.

should have no problem. i run 31x10.5's on 9.5" rims. i just don't air down any lower than 15psi, but you should be fine to around 10 psi.

I run that combo and have aired my MTR's down to less than 5 psi rockcrawling without problems. The only issue is the rocks will get the edge of the rim until you go wider with the tires.

Re: Does this combo do well?

you do have to be carefull in gritty mud and fine gravel, i have had trouble with a rear not holding air due to small pieces of gravel working down in between the rim and the tire bead. other than that no problems. before that i ran 32x11.5's on 10 inch rims and had no problem. see pic

Re: Does this combo do well?

I'm confused. Isn't the 8" rim the correct rim for 10.5" tires? I have a set of 15x6 rims and thought they are too small for 31x10.5 tires. Thanks. Jim
