What should I do here????

Hello all. I am about to install my 1.6, my plan was to go with a weber and header on it...EVeryone tries to talk me out of a weber and stick with EFI...Me and lilsammy4x4 were chatting and he suggessted a bore, low end cam, header...what do yall think I should do?? I dont trust anyone in jacksonville enough to mill my head..also I really dont wanna do piston work but will if needed.

Re: What should I do here????

I won't claim to be an expert, but I think I would keep my EFI. I love my Weber, but I think that if you have a choice, keep EFI and get a header. I don't know about the rest of the mods.

Good Luck,

Jim

Re: What should I do here????

Does the Weber bolt on to the stock 1.6 intake manifold after removing the TBI?
Or is an adapter needed?

Re: What should I do here????

I think for moneys sake I will keep the EFI, but does a low end cam make a difference?
I always have heard a bore/stroke doesnt really effect it but can I get an opinion on that as well?

I am sure it needs an adapter. Check with "Sarge", he has forgotten more about the Weber than I will ever know.

Re: What should I do here????

I thought the 1.6 was in? seems as though you have too many irons in the fire...finish one thing then the next. stay with the EFI, a low end cam will help with low end torque you loose top end HP however...btw the guys you left are still giving you good sound avice..try getting that over at POR.

Since you'll prolly do nothing, I'd suggest a rotaty engine swap.
It'd be fun!
