GRS1 OR GRS2 WHICH ONE

okies i have a question.
i have a friend that is completely stock but with 32's and SOA.

he is a daily driver and drives about 40 miles one way to work 1/2 interstate 1/2 reg. road with red lights

he wants to regain the streetable speeds and have the freedom to use 5th gear and not change his R/P
either one would work for off road due to just mild trail ridding
he has about made up his mind to get the GRS2 due to them being put on sale
he had a choice of a SJ410 t/c or the GRS1, GRS2, and the CALMINI
just thought i would ask for your opinion
thanx
charles

I would go with the GRS2...

I am running the GRS1 in mine and fifth gear is still alittle slugish running 30" tires.

GRS II. The price is super right now and then 4.62's after that if he's not happy. I'm on 31's and that's
what I've done. Very happy

Re: GRS1 OR GRS2 WHICH ONE

Charles,

Mike would be better off overall with the GRS2 as it will get him almost exactly back to stock gearing
with his 32's.

Cost, the baby lobster is cheaper, but it won't get him back to 5th gear without a R&P job, which
would put it to a higher cost than the on sale GRS2 gears.

Re: GRS1 OR GRS2 WHICH ONE

My son is running an SJ410 tcase, the lower 5th gear transmission, and 31 inch MTs. It is no problem using 5th gear on the highway.

If your friend has an early model transmission and 32s he may need a little more reduction than that, but anything will be a big improvement.
