Re: window channel weatherstriping is shot...

does your weather stripping roll down with the window?

mine used to do that, so I crazy glued the top to the door, and it has not given me any problems now for 8 years...

just an idea, to save you money...

Petroworks has it listed on their site. Don't know about best price..........either them or Hawk would be my guess.

Suzuki John also has it at 30 somthing bucks a door, or you can go pull it off a Geo Metro's
doors at a yard and reuse that. I was charged like $2.

Re: window channel weatherstriping is shot...

Hey Rich, thanks for the info the other day again! No, it doesn't roll down, it is mostly gone. The racket it makes on my dirt road sounds like a whole nest of bees are buzzing in the back seat!!

Re: window channel weatherstriping is shot...

Bansenshukai sold me a roll of this stuff he got from JC whitney. It was pretty cheap..like 5$ a roll or something. My passenger side window weather strippping was all mangled and loose and stuff. It still is because i haven't put it in yet, but it might be like what you are interested in. You might want to PM him and ask for details.

I waould say check you local wrecking yards first. I was lucky enough when I broke a window one day out wheelin' I was at the juck yard pulling a window out of an EFI sami that had perfect rubber window channel. The guy was nice enough to just let me have them.
