Re: stainless steel replacement bodies

Nice...if you want your Sammy to look like a Jeep! The dollar & Euro are about even so $3500 for a tub, plus shipping from Europe.....

Re: stainless steel replacement bodies

yeah, and the best thing is, it is absolutly rust-free.
and you dont need to paint it. it looks very unique.

so if i ever plan on a new project where the body is full of rust i would by such a tub. dont know what the shipping to us will cost, but i am in europe so thats not a big deal for me *gg*

i contacted the guy and he said that he now has 32" tires on with nearly no lift (still spua, only longer shackles and moved the front axle forward). seems to be perfect for 35" with yj and spoa - and it is allready flat-fender *gg*

Re: stainless steel replacement bodies

Dude, you just bummed me out.

When I first opened this post and was waiting for the pic to show, I was soooooo happy. My prayers were about to be answered.

But instead, a "Jeep" shows up instead. Man, no matter how much I want a S/S, or aluminum or dare even a Kevlar tub, I would rather gnaw off both arms than make my Sammy into a Jeepwannabe. I don't think I'd use it if it was free.

BUT!

Since that looks pretty damn close to the old LJs, wouldn't it be neat if they could pull off an LJ replacement body for the SJ frame? Now that's something I'd drop some coinage on.

Re: stainless steel replacement bodies

Cool! What you need to do is to buy an old rusting hulk. Don't want the Jeep, just a clean title. Now armed with a title and body you can build the ultimate Zuke. V6, V8, deisel, jet powered. Under the vintage title it's all smog exempt and street legal.
