Rotational Dynamics... Thanks!

I just thought I would continue along the line of others that have received good service from other vendors (Is it Politically Correct for one vendor to give kudos to another?). Saying thanks to Rotational Dynamics for a very fast and smooth transaction. I decided to be the guinea pig and purchase a adjustable cam gear and a 25% underdrive pulley for the 1.6 16 valve since I do not know of anyone else that has purchased them. The products were sent in record time....total time from order to arrival was only 3 days! I will let you all know what performance gains these mods provide after their installation.

Re: Rotational Dynamics... Thanks!

I got a product from Phillip that he doesn't even sell! He had a prototype sway-bar disconnect, and sold me one. I installed it on the front sway bar of my 2-door sidekick, and it worked great! No more crawling under the rig with my wrenches, to disconnect the sway bar from the A-Arms, just pull the pin under the front bumper.

Well, then I installed my Calmini steering stabilizer, and belly armor, and the disconnect interfered with the truss, so I pulled the whole thing, and now I just leave it off.

Anybody want a Sidekick front sway-bar, with a disconnect welded into the middle?

The attached photo shows (not very well) where the disconnect pin is.

What interfered with the disconnect? The Calmini front skid plate? Do you know if a factory skid plate will interfere? I would be VERY interested in buying this from you.

Re: Rotational Dynamics... Thanks!

Actually, it was the new, re-designed Calmini front truss. This is a giant "U" channel that spans the gap between the two front A-Arm pivot bolts (I'll try to attach a good picture showing the new truss). The armor was not a problem - because the sway-bar disconnect is about 4 inches in diameter, it interfered with the truss. It probably would NOT interfere with the "old" Calmini truss, and the new truss could probably be "notched" to allow the disconnect to still work, but I just didn't want to bother with it (I was in a hurry to get ready for Moab). My 2-door now hardly ever sees pavement - she's a trailer queen now, since we bought a trailer, so I figure I don't need the sway bar any more. E-mail me, if you're interested - I'll try to break out the digicam, and get some better pics this weekend, too.
