fender flares

I just ordered a set of trailtoughs fender flares. So who has done this swap and lets see some pics. My flares should be here tomorrow. Took of the old flares and found very little rust which I was very happy about.

Re: fender flares

howdy,
i think of going with the zukiboys flare, but i like the look of the trailtough's. but if you could take some time and remove the stock flare plates. really easy just get a spot weld drill bit, and start finging and drilling out the welds. remember not to deep, really easy to make holes to.

Re: fender flares

Why would you have to remove the stock flare plates for? I would think that it would help hold the TT flare on there? I don't know? Never seen them in person, just in pic's! I'm thinking about getting them for my Zuk (since I need them with the WIDE stance I've got) but need the money first! I'm sure we all know how that is!

Re: fender flares

I like the Zukiboys flares better too. In fact, I've asked "Santa" to bring me a set for Christmas! I'd like to hear comments from anyone running these flares.
I've attached a pic of Robzuk's ride with the TT flares. HTH

Re: fender flares

howdy,
the trail tough flare com with allen headed screws the go into the fenders to hold the flare on. if you don't have rust were the flare plates are now then some where down the road you will. mine were shoot due to the road salt gods in ohio, but now she stays in the garage and is babyed during the winter. also it makes the wheel well look alot more clean, and one less thing for the mudd to stick to.

Re: fender flares

howdy,
i like the fact that they actually made them so that they have a piece of flare the gooes into the flare. so no cling ons the the flares just smooth goings. but i like the mean look of trail tough's flares, alittle more pleasen compaired to space age molden.

Re: fender flares

I am running the Zukboys flares and they fit great - nice fit and finish and they are can be trimmed VERY easily to fit any bumper or rocker panel setup.......

Re: fender flares

Okay, so the TT flares are not held on by the stock zuk flare that is on there? Ummm... I don't have any rust on mine (NC Zuk) but, now that it is back in Ohio I'm sure some will pop up somewhere! Need to get that por-15 on fast!
