howdy,
here is what i use most of the time when i race. at first i could hardly drive it. but then i modifried the TRK file and let the wheel travel far in to the wheel wells. top speed on flat straight land is 693 mph.

Re: Alittle at home wheelen!

a review of screamer 4x4:

http://www.gamespy.com/reviews/janua...mer/index.shtm

another smaller review with a download of the demo:

http://www.gamesdomain.com/demos/demo/1294.html

the download is 33 meg and the demo times out after 8 minutes, but its free and gives you a good idea what the game is like.

And no, you cannot go 693mph. It is really trying to be a SIM not a game.

Re: Alittle at home wheelen!

I've got screamer 4x4, only thing I don't like is the camera angles!! They don't work all the time. Great game! Got it for 7 dollarts on ebay
4x4 evolution is ghetto..

Re: Alittle at home wheelen!

yeah..the cockpit camera in screamer 4x4 is kinda weird, since you get at all these bizarre angles and cant look around very effectively to get your bearings. Its still an awesome game.

The Jeep version of EVO2 was pretty good, but was very arcade compared to screamer 4x4 and even felt less realistic than !nsane, which was also a real hoot. I wish the Moab and rubicon courses for the Jeep version of EVO2 could be converted over to screamer 4x4 format. That would be some serious FUN.
