Re: Winter has arrived.....

Fist snow of the year is exciting isn't it? We've had snow here for about two weeks now, but still not quite enough to sled on. Got my Formula Z all tuned up though and she's ready as soon we get a couple more inches.

Re: Winter has arrived.....

Northwest corner of Connecticut got hit prwtty hard by an ice storm this weekend. Id rather have the snow than the ice. Only rain, 3", for us along the coast. Jim

Re: Winter has arrived.....

That looks awsome, I remember one year when we went snowing to Silver Star (near Vernon BC) our Ford Explorer got literally buried in snow, couldn't see any of the paint. I wish we'd get it like that more often, but I guess its supposed to be another dry winter here.

Re: Winter has arrived.....

I am nearly 38 years old and, I know you are gonna laugh, but I have never actually seen snow as deep as that in the picture. I remember when I was a kid, in 1973, it snowed 3 inches and stayed for 3 days. I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. That was a lot of snow for Mobile Alabama though.

Deepest snow I've ever seen was somewhere around 4 inches. Me and a buddy had a blast with a four wheeler, a ski rope, and a pickup truck hood in a cow pasture. Just had to watch out for "high spots".

Re: Winter has arrived.....

Hey Brad..that picture shows what I'd consider to be just a little more than a 'dusting' of snow.

Im 42, and the next time I get "24+ of snow overnight, and have to get up in the morning and shovel my driveway to get my car out, then slide down my unplowed and unpaved street to the barely plowed (if at all) road at the bottom of the hill I live on, so I can leave for work 2 hours early so I can try to get there on time, so I can drive 200 miles through the stuff during a state of emergency and still try to stay on a schedule for 8 hours, do you mind if I give you call? You can come up here and "enjoy" it all you want. Maybe it will inspire me to enjoy it, too. That is after we finish chasing my dogs down because they hopped out over the 4' chain link fence from the top of the piled up snow after a foot or so of the stuff every 4 days for two months.

I think I need ot move to arizona or something. God, I hate winter.
