twin cam + tank for carburated

Did anyone used the stock gaz tank for a carburated with a twin cam engine ?

I use the stock tank with an external pressure pump, but my pump seem to have trouble pumping the gaz through the stock metal gaz line + fuel filter. The pump is near the engine.

Re: twin cam + tank for carburated

I belive the stock tank works on a siphon principle. The fuel pump works best when it is down low. I have mine mounted where the stock fuel filter was and it works fine.

Re: twin cam + tank for carburated

I placed the filter before the pump (between the tank and the pump...no worries for a high pressure filter this way).
I used the stock sammi fuel line as the fuel line. I also used the vapor canister vent line as the fuel return line (its almost the same diameter as the fuel line) and the tiny sammi fuel return line is now the canister vent line. I switched how they connect to the tank so everything works OK. You'll want to double clamp everything as well.
