Re: need pics of trussed or gosseted sammi axle.

what timing i plan on doing my rear tomarrow now to see what people have for ideas i was planning on running 2 in channel down the top of the tubes and 3/16 flat bar up and cap it with 3/16 as well making a I beam out of it the only reason for the channel is to move the welds off the top of the axle because they will shrink and pull it the wrong way i will also run som beads on the bottom just to offset the pull of the other ones

An axle is an axle. Based on that, here are some pics of a trussed Jeep axle, using pipe cut in half and welded to the bottom. It acts as a truss and as a skid plate.

Re: need pics of trussed or gosseted sammi axle.

howdy,
yellow is air line that i looped so when flewed the breather line stay in place and flexs with axle.

blue is the pumpkin plate, made from 8"weld on pipe cap.

dark gray is 1" square stock steel with the bottom cut to form a squared U shape. it is welded all the way down from pumpkin to perches. it then will also carry the brake line from side to side, but that is only a thought right now. i might be useing 2" square stock steel, but don't really know yet because this is still in the thought process. the rear will be tricky due to the a breeze trac-bar i need to order.

if you would like to send money to the National Monzuki Building Fund please due. you can send money threw paypal at account name [email protected], or send money order and check made out to National Monzuki Building Fund, 1234 Fake St, Brokeassville, OH 45666. of just send cash in a security envelope. remeber to send cash in large bills only. IOU's will not be excepted and you might just be shoot.
