i have a 97 tracker and the O2 sensor that is downstream, under the drivers seat is broken off, hit a darn racoon. i can get one from my local suzuki dealer, is it the same as the one on the 97 sidekick.?

4 door 1.6 16 valve, standard.

Re: is the O2 sensor for a 97 the same

Last time I checked they were.... There are two types. And only two types. One that fits the 8valve and one that fits the 16valve engines. They are the same for Sidekicks, Sunrunners, and Trackers...... Double check the plug on your wiring harness, the 8valve and 16vavle are visually diffrent. They should have a picture book to cross reference the O2 sensor.

Hope this helps...

Re: is the O2 sensor for a 97 the same

for the record, i bought the o2 sensor from my local zuki dealer, who is really new by the way for 190.00 cdn + tax. the chev dealer wanted around 370.00.

the zuki part fit perfectly, no problems and the service engine soon light went off when it was installed.

sometimes things just work out, thank god.
