VW carb

Is anyone using a VW pict3 34 carb i made an adapter and put on on but it idles high around 2-3 grand i live at around 800ft above sea level and dont what jet size i shuold use. i dont have any vacum leaks that i could find but it surges at lower rpms any advice would be helpful.

If its idling that high you must have a vacuum leak somewhere. Check your adaptor closely.
