coolant/anti-freeze leak source?

My Zuk was leaking coolant this morning. Didn't appear to be a hose, seemed to be coming from behind the alternator. I'm not very familiar with anything under the hood as it has run fine every day for over 1.5 yrs since I got it. Heat was working. Anyone know of areas prone to leak? Around water pump?

Thanks,

Re: coolant/anti-freeze leak source?

the area most prone to spring leaks behind the alternator is the little O-ring that seals the water tube into the rear of the water pump housing. years of hot-cold transitions will cause the seal to become brittle, and eventually crack into pieces.
easy to fix, tough to get at for repair

That could be it. I just had time to pop the hood this morning when I noticed the leak to see if it was a hose. At least I have another vehicle to drive.
