Re: Adventure Assurance Roadside Assistance

Triple A offers a lot more than just installing your inflated spare, including tow service even if you
are simply a passenger in a dead on road car. Free maps at any AAA office (they are great maps too)
and DMV services, at least in CA! A lot more that I can't recall just now. The plastic wallet keys
are cool and are good to avoid lockouts, not that a soft top like a Zuk needs one much! And its
not required that you buy their insurance either. With all the things that can go wrong these
days with cars, I started carrying AAA road service for both Cindy and I. I may be able to avoid
the need for towing most times, but Cindy sure couldn't (wouldn't?) cope with even a spare tire change.

I don't know what this "service" costs but it sounds like not much service for whatever you pay.

How much does AAA cost yearly? I just think its a good deal if it isnt much, without having to join a club. Though if you need an offroad tow, its going to be more then the maximum amount

Re: Adventure Assurance Roadside Assistance

If you read the fine print, they cover only $60.oo 3 times a year and the tow truck driver will determine if he can do it or not.You will have to pay all cost over $60.oo.I have used a 4x4 tow service only once and 10 years ago they charged $100.00 an hour and the clock started when they left the station.By the time it was over they caved in the front of the truck[creasting a hill],waivered if they tow,and charged us $500.00 to make a 300 yard tow.Live and learn,RR

Re: Adventure Assurance Roadside Assistance

Rick, was that AAA or the tire guys?

Cost of AAA is about $40 for each of us, I think it was a bit more the first year. I probably get
close to $40 worth of maps a year.
