Re: Sammy\'s vs Trackers

Hey, If I lift my Samurai and put 31's on it, I'll have some 235/75r15's to sell. Im in Saskatoon. They're Firestone wilderness AT's. Probably won't be till christmas that I have time to lift though.

Re: Sammy\'s vs Trackers

Hey Kevin that would be cool... Nice to talk to another Saskatoon guy on here! I'd kinda like to get tires soon though, before the middle of November, because I'm going deer hunting and I need all the traction I can get. My Tracker isn't quite ready yet though, because it was a write off and its going in for the safety soon. I'd like to get a lift bolted on first as well.

How bad is the Calmini 3" on cv's? I don't do excessive off roading, but lotsa highway miles.

Re: Sammy\'s vs Trackers

I think the only Firestone Wilderness AT in the size 235/70/16 are one of the many recalled ones.

Buy why take a chance?

Re: Sammy\'s vs Trackers

If traction is your main concern...ditch the lift and tires..and add a rear locker.

Re: Sammy\'s vs Trackers

I have a 88 sami,V6,112 to 1 gears,locked,33 Boggers ect.ect.I have a trail behind my home I test my sami on and I took my stock 90 and 94 tracker on the course and the only thing I did not try was driving over the tree that blew down accross one of my trails. These trackers have 235 street tires,30# air, stock vehical. The did the trail without any problems.I have off camber hills,ledges,30% hills, ect.I would recommend a winch or tire chains if you are going very far off into the woods.I use mine for Search Rescue and they work great.I will build one Tracker up to be like the sami, but keep it streetable.Best Regards,RR

Re: Sammy\'s vs Trackers

I'm planning on a Lincoln Locker

For tires, I like the BFG All Terrains... Any feedback on those tires? Any other good ones that are cheap? Something made my Cooper would be great, cause I can get an excellent deal on them.

I'd like to go with 31 X 10.5's, will I have room with a 3" calmini and home made 2" body lift?

You can get an excellent deal from Cooper!? Wink Wink, Nudge Nudge.. The 31s I mentioned that I wanted were Cooper STT's, I love those tires. Either those Coopers or Swamper LTBs are on my list.

Re: Sammy\'s vs Trackers

I can get you the Coopers if you want. Whats the exact series number and size? I'm going to price out some for myself, so I can get you a price.
