Pony carb w/o insulator?

Hey Gang,

I just scored a pony carb but the phenolic thermal insulator is all busted up. Since the 1.3 intake is cooled by coolant, can I get away without putting this little slab of stuff on there? If not, then what can I use to cut out a new one?

~thanks,

Re: Pony carb w/o insulator?

If your talking about the Pony black one , you do not use it , if your talking about the Zuke red one , all you need it for is the hight as the Pony does not need coolant going through it.. Hope this helps you...

JUst make sure that the carb opens and closes. you should just need the ported/dremeled zook one.
