OT:Prayers for Our Dog

Tonight before you go to bed please say a prayer for Sheba. She is our dog and friend and we don't think she will live the night. She would be 17 in January and was our wedding present to each other. The Kids have always had her here and are especially sad. Thanks. Jim and Family

Re: OT:Prayers for Our Dog

prayers are given. You grow so attatched to pets without even noticing it until they are near the brink of going away. Hope she pulls out of this tho looks like a sweet dog

Re: OT:Prayers for Our Dog

Its a miserable thing to lose pets. I have lost 4 animals in the last couple of years. 3 due to old age and one due to a dog attack. I feel for you and hope she makes it through the night.

Re: OT:Prayers for Our Dog

Im not a praying person, but Sheba will be in my thoughts tonight. She's beautiful, Jim. I have lost a 17 year old dog and there is no pain like it. I hope if her time is up that she goes peacefully and if it is not yet her time, that she bounces back to love you guys some more. In case you don't know about it, check out this link (and show it to the kids, too)

Re: OT:Prayers for Our Dog

Sorry to hear your sad news. Well you know she had 17 good years and that she will always be with you in your hearts. We just got a dog for my son last xmas and we have two cats. I know it would break our hearts to lose any of them. I wish you the best and hope you can be with her in her time of need. Prayers are with you....Alan

Re: OT:Prayers for Our Dog

I will definitely toss up a couple for you cuz I know how it feels to lose a close friend and companion. The flip side to this is at least we get the time we have with them and they will always be here in our hearts. I have found that sometimes the best thing that I can do for my dog is the hardest thing for me to do. Hope she can stay with your family at least at little while longer cuz good friends are hard to come by.

Tom

Re: OT:Prayers for Our Dog

Jim, my wife and I will keep Sheba and your family in mind. We know what it is like to go through this. About a year ago, our oldest kitty, Neko, that we got right after we got married got really sick and we didn't think he was going to make it. Fortunately, he pulled through in the end. But it really tears your heart out to have to face losing such a close companion.

Re: OT:Prayers for Our Dog

Sheba made it through the night. In fact she was up walking around when I got up this morning. She has bounced back like this so much in her life even beating cancer 5 years ago. Thanks for the well wishes. I don't think she will make it through the week. I just hope she goes quietly on her own so we don't have to make that decision. Thanks again so much. Jim
