Pictures of my Samurai, finally.

Okay! Here we go. These were all within days of getting my Samurai on Sept 19th. I took it out wheelin on Wednesday, loved it.

This one is just a size compare. Next to a 2002 Z71 Short box regular cab.

Front, pulling into my driveway.

I really don't know why I took this picture, flexing on a curb?? What was I thinking

Ooh an interior, really no need to post this one, but whatever.

Left side doorless.

Right side doorless, bad lighting.

Next to the same Z71. The front bumpers are lined up.

So, let me know what you think. The diamond plate on the tailgate is covering up a rust hole. I'd rather have the tailgate than a hunk of diamond plate, but its okay. Also, its the original top a little bit brittle. Im afraid to touch it. I've already put some cracks in it.

As far as big plans go, yes, huge plans! 1.6L 16v, SPOA, 32" Cooper STTs, but the engine swap is in the far future. SPOA and tires should be a couple months.

Jim, the previous owner probably made those panels himself, not I though.

Re: Pictures of my Samurai, finally.

Hey Kevin, do you still have stock gearing? Whats your avg and max highway speeds with those 235's. Is it hilly around where you live? Just wanna know, cause I was gonna throw some 30's on mine with 4.16 T-case, but if 29's work well with stock gearing I may go that route. Thanks

Re: Pictures of my Samurai, finally.

Yes, stock gearing. Thats a hard question to answer really. I've only had it for a little over a month. One highway near here is hilly. In 5th gear, down a hill with the pedal to the floor I hit 120km/h. I imagine I could do better in 4th, but its hard to tell what kind of RPM I'm at so I don't want to over do it. All in all, I'd say go with 30's and a 4.16 Tcase.

Re: Pictures of my Samurai, finally.

It looks like the SE soft top from the factory.
Except the SE is light grey (silver) and dark grey with redish piping.
