Re: damn door handles!!!!! please help

Unless you find someone who has some OEM used handles, buying them new makes the Petroworks kit a bargain. I think the OEM ones are about $25 each.....

Re: damn door handles!!!!! please help

Many times the springs on the door handles are rusted pretty bad and/or are broken. Might want to get new springs.........

Re: damn door handles!!!!! please help

You will break fewer handles if you get some WD-40 or similar "lube" in there to loosen things up,
Followed by a shot of lithium lube, which will coagulate into a greasey coating that WILL lube it.

Most auto parts stores have the spray lithium.

Re: damn door handles!!!!! please help

I agree that the plastic handles aren't very durable, but Outlaw has the key to keeping the door handles and window cranks working and in one piece. Like most anything that is mechanical they will start showing signs that the mechanism is getting more DIFFICULT to actuate quite a while before they break or strip out. That is the cue to pull your door panels at your next convenient opportunity and lube ALL of the mechanical parts of the door latches and window regulators. If you ignore the signs they will eventually break or the window cranks will strip.

*I just need the outside ones*

you'll need the inside ones soon too. it's only a matter of time till they break too. to me, the $69 kit was worth it.
