91 tracker Radiator- Info needed.

The 91 tracker/kick and the 90 and 92 rads are the same right?
(Standard, 1.6 8v so the engines are the same.)
Mine started to leak as it was warming up on the seam (Plastic and alum)
when up to presure no leak. so no one local except the dealer carrys them for te 91,
but online the 91 rad is 320.00 the 90 is 109.00 and the 92 is 120.00
so I am going to get a 90 or 92 to say the least.
Any online vendors to watch out for (rad vendors..)

Here's a link to the thread from when I was radiator shopping. There was no difference in the radiator part numbers, but big differences in price. Check it out. Look here for radiator prices

Re: 91 tracker Radiator- Info needed.

Here's an idea that worked now & then back in the old days wih the plastic/alloy rad cores....
Along the outer edge of the top tank there should be a crimped alloy ridge that actually holds a neoprene seal against the top of the rad core.... SOMETIMES you can just re-squish (crimp) that edging to get a better seal against the top tank and the seal... sometimes not... definitely worth the try.

Re: 91 tracker Radiator- Info needed.

Is there a difference between the 91 and others to make it cost more?

Re: 91 tracker Radiator- Info needed.

I remember a long time ago when I was on the road in a band (77-78), we had a POS ford sedan, about a 69 or something with a small block. As we were driving along a million miles from home in the middle of the night, the radiator seam let go near the top tank. We dumped in a bunch of stopleak and then put some vise grips on the seam. We drove it around that way for quite a while until the transmission expired and then just abandoned it with the keys in it and a signed bill of sale on the dash saying "free to good home".

I know this has nothing to do with composite radiators in Trackers, but it *is* about leaky radiators.

THE RAMONES? I am a big Ramones fan - as a matter of fact my buddy Ben was the lead singer of Marky Ramone's Band (sideproject) "MARKY RAMONE AND THE INTRUDERS". Too bad Joey is gone......

What was the name of your band.....and please expand on the three girls in the van
