flipped samurai at shiloh ridge info??????

i was supposed to go to shiloh ridge last weekend in texas but couldn't.(hopefully i'll be at barnwell mountain this weekend) my buddies still went and said that a samurai was climbing a hill and flipped backwards. about half way down the hill the seat broke and threw the guy out! he supposedly landed in a little revine and the sammi stopped on top of him. since he was in the revine he walked away with only a broken arm.

this is all hearsay and i would like to know if anybody else might know exactly what happened. that kinda makes you wonder about your seats. i think mine are in good enough(i sure hope so!!!!) let me know if you have any info. thanks and happy wheeling!

smitty808's work pretty well, we backed into a tree yesterday doing about 10mph trying to climb a hill and the brakes went out!
but that's only the first part of my crappy day!

When I took mine out to Herculine it, the sheetmetal where they attach was torn on the passenger side from some previous owner mishap. I welded it back up. This would probably be worth checking.

Re: flipped samurai at shiloh ridge info??????

The problem is that the sheet metal around the mounting hole in the body crack. When I took mine out to bedline it I found three inch cracks around all the paseenger mounts and some one inch cracks around the rear driverside mounts.
To fix it I took some 2" metal strips( don't remeber what type) drilled holes in it and welded it around the passenger mounts. On the drivers side I took some of the same metal bent it to match the towers drilled it and welded it in place. No more weak points.
Your best bet is to check yours, almost every sammy I have looked at has this problem.

I was there Friday night and all day Saturday. It must have happened on Sunday. We didn't hear of any accidents while we were there!
