Well..
#1. He doesnt say its DOHC, so assume its an 8v.
#2. Why don't you just check the wrecking yards? Can you ask them to phone you if one comes in?

200 sounds like its a lot. Especially if you can find one near you.

Re: IS IT WORTH IT ?????

nope

in my opinion dude, youd do better off as kevin said lookin around local bone yards. dont forget the local trader papers for a whole truck thats wrecked or rusted out. should be able to get one pretty cheap, sell off main parts and keep motor. ifn ya buy it for $300, (100 purchase and 200 s&h) ya still dont know what it is.
just my .o2.....

Yea, What Kevin said----
Also, How many rods and valves did the crank take out when it "quit"?
Did everything starve for oil while it was quitting?
I would not mess with it.

Re: IS IT WORTH IT ?????

I agree. It looks like the engine needs lots of work. There is no crankshaft..who knows the condition of the rest of it.
As mentioned above, I would look around your local junk yards. You could get a good one (probably with a limited warranty) for less than the price of the ebay engine w/ shipping...not to mention a replacement crank ($100++) and all the other extra costs

Re: IS IT WORTH IT ?????

I wouldn't buy anything from someone who said it "quited"

Just my opinion!
