the leak strikes again

This weekend I finally decided to fix a colant like that my sammy had developed. It was leaking from around the water pump, the gasket had given out in one spot. I replaced the gasket, hoses and the timing belt(my mistake). It ran great sunday and monday, no leaks anywhere. Today when I got to work, I got out and could smell colant. When I looked under the vehicle I saw that once again it is leaking colant, and this time I can't find where it is coming from.

This is getting to be a nusance. while is working on everything I retested the compression on my engine and found cylinder 3 has droped 10psi from the last time I tested 3 months ago. I don't regret buying my sammy, I just regret paying so much for whats turning out to be a lemon.

Re: the leak strikes again

There's a tube that runs along the side of the block under the intake manifold , it slides into the back of the water pump and there is a rubber o-ring around the end this is where I've had a few leaks. Stuff a little paper towel tight up in between the tube and block run the motor for a bit and check the paper towel to see if its wet . If it is you can remove it by finding the 10mm bolt in the middle of the tube sliding the tube back a bit to get some liquid gasket goop around it or a new o-ring ..or both
