Traction Lift

Are there any vendors still selling traction lifts? I had one on my spoa zuk about twelve years ago, and would like to have another set on my latest project. If anyone knows where to get a set I would appreciate the info. Thanx, Brian

Re: Traction Lift

Thanx steve ,I checked and no got. It was worth a try though. Peci, a traction lift goes between the leaf springs and the spring pad. Then uses a arm to contact back on the spring when they try to wrap. You also get two inches of lift. It's not a very good explanation without a diagram. Brian

Re: Traction Lift

hey when you ran these in your sami did you lose any flex with these installed. iv seen them used in cars where instaed of the rear sinking when you punch it they acctually push the wheels into the ground but i can also see that they would probubly limit the rear end from articulating. Im looking at all options right now to stop my srings from wrap.

Re: Traction Lift

when I had the traction lift on my truck,I wasn't looking for articulation. Just a lot of height. I don't know what they would really do, they are old school. But, can be used both front and rear.

Re: Traction Lift

ahh tx.

why not dropping the spring-hangers 2"?
i have seen that kind of lift and it looks very easy. just cut the spring-hangers and weld some 2"x2" in between the hanger and the frame.
