Not looking good for ZookinY2k2

I am VERY angry & sad (sadness turns to anger) to admit that I PROBABLY won't make it to Zookin in MA this year. There is just too many things working against me this year. I believe in fate & everything happening for a reason so I guess it's for the best if I DON'T make it. Hard to accept though. Can someone please mail me a copy of the "edited" video tape from last years Zookin?
BTW powers working against me: lack of extra money, wife can't go this year because she's working, all of my copilots have backed out of going, Mark C. (JEEPN) isn't going down (was going to ride down & back in caravan together), rear axle seal on Zook leaking like a sieve, a bunch of play between steering wheel & shaft coming out of firewall on Zook, No tow rig, motor in tow rig is DEAD (#5 piston is toast), Zook has no inspection sticker yet, Since wife is working my 13 Y/O daughter would have to stay home alone with my 2 Y/O son, etc. These and even more reasons make me say "Grow up Bill, stay home they'll be other Zookin get togethers."

Re: Not looking good for ZookinY2k2

How about renting a truck from U-haul? I see there are some pickups down at the Portland site, see how much they want for one. I wish I could help, but the Trooper is more than tired (169K miles, ticking began at 50K, so it's loud now) and it's my only vehicle right now. As for the kids, drop them off, we'll watch them for the weekend. Tammy can come by too if she wants, plenty of room. I didn't know your wheel bearing was bad, I'll replace the one you loaned me. You need it by tomorrow? If it's the short side shaft, just take mine, I haven't installed it yet. If it's not, let me know and we'll change it out at my friend's shop.

Don't give into the fate thing too soon. Remember, there's three very true sayings.

1) Where there is a will, there is a way.
2) There is more than 1 way to skin a cat. (Actually, there are 4 popular ways)
3) It ain't over till it's over (Yogi Berra)

As for the bearing, that's why they sell gear oil by the gallon at Walmart.

As for the steering shaft, sounds like the bushing is worn out or has fallen out.

It's not the speedo as much as it is the number of days I'll have it. $25 a day+ mileage so if I take off on Friday morning & bring it back Monday morning that's $100 right there. Actually that aisnt too bad but what about all the other stuff?

Never understood the saying, "there is more than one way to skin a cat." Why do you need more than one?
