Re: Wife having medical problems, no Zookin for me

Thanks all, I'd really like to make it, just don't dare.

I spent Friday and Sunday in the Emergency room, and all the tests came out negative for anything, so they said she could go home, they could find nothing wrong. So, because they could find nothing, there must be nothing (because they found nothing), so she doesn't have anything wrong with her, she's "normal".

Funny, then I guess "normal" people pass out without warning, have massive headaches, backaches, are very lethargic, and almost incoherent.

It's been over $2,000 so far in medical bills (and that's WITH insurance, this is our portion to pay) and they still think it's all in her head. She's been in the hospital more in the last 6 months (when this all started) than in her entire previous time alive, all 33 years of it.

Sorry, it just ticks me off. It also ticks me off that her doctor doesn't want to give a referral to a specialist. I actually had to threaten him (with his own life) to get him to change his mind. Not something I do even occasionally, and I'm not condoning it, so we'll leave out the specifics. Well, she has an appointment now (we went around him), so we'll see what's going on.

Thanks to all for the words of encouragement. What happened to the times of old when people only paid the doctors when they got better? If they stayed sick, they didn't pay. I like that...

If something happened to my honey and the person I trusted for her care wanted to play "I know more than the next guy!" .....I pray the best for you both.

Done. And the EKG, and Cat-Scan, and blood work, and Xrays, and urinalysis, and spinal tap analysis, and stress test, and cardiac workup, and damn near everything but reading the tea leaves.
