Chevy Equinox to replace Tracker by 2005

I found some info on the possible replacement vehicle for the Chevy Tracker. Apparently it will be built on the same platform as the new Saturn VUE. No word yet on whether Suzuki will offer a similar platform or if they even have a hand it the development of this new vehicle.

According to Motor Trend though, the Equinox may not be a total replacement for the Tracker. They state that production of the Vitara/Sidekick platform will continue on a seperate assembly line and the Equinox may be placed slightly above the Tracker in terms of Chevy's overall lineup.

What a turd!

Anyhoot, rumor is they will cease the 4-dr Vitara and only product the GV. The Vit will only be a 2-dr rag top model.

Makes sense. Who would buy a Vitara when a couple grand more gets the GV.

As for the Tracker, fuk Chevy. Can't stand them.
