Re: passing this on from spidertrax

If you can find a place close that is selling blemished Optimas you can get them real cheap. There is a place here in Salem OR htat has them, I picked up a 800cca red top for only $60. That's half price!. They don't have any warantee but all still work perfectly. I peeled the blemish sticker off mine and written in pen underneath was "cosmetic". I don't know about you but I'll sure as heck pay half price for an Optima that has just some cometic blemishes that I honestly don't even notice.

Re: passing this on from spidertrax

that's a good deal for optima's, if i remember correctly that's less than dealer cost. i have an exide/optima that's been in 2 vehicles and about 5 years old - still works like new!

Re: passing this on from spidertrax

They are Stuart's Auto Parts on Portland RD. If your heading north on I-5 when you come into Salem take the Portland RD/ 99-E exit,(it will be the last exit for Salem before you get to the Keizer exit). Take a left at the light from the exit and dtive down Portland Rd about a half a mile and it will be on your left hand side.
Here is there ph# so you can call to make sure they still have them. 503-581-3291

I checked with Kragen Auto Parts yesterday (Exide dealer) and they were not aware of a sale in progress. Will call Exide today - they have a warehourse in San Diego.

Re: passing this on from spidertrax

I did the same thing with the local Schuckes dealer. They were unaware of the sale. So, I called Spidertrax and they said they were the only place to get this deal from Exide. I imagine if it goes well for Exide they will do this for other dealers.
