Re: Someone Having Fun With Photoshop!

That looks like the body of that car called "Smart." I saw a lot of those when I was in London last march. Neat little cars. I'd buy one. I'd go dateless until the day I sold it, but I'd buy one.

Not like the Metro Convertable is scoring me any nookie anyway....

Re: Someone Having Fun With Photoshop!

I saw one of these driving around town here in Waldorf, Maryland - it was cute but definitely not for me. DaimlerChrysler should have installed handles on the outside so that paul-bearers would have something to carry you by after the first accident...

Re: OT: Someone Having Fun With Photoshop!

I saw a ton of those in Spain and Italy last summer. I would love to have one. They are really small in size but very roomy inside for 2 people. It's a Smart car alright.

There is also a Mercedes Benz that's not too much bigger and is a 4 door 4 seater.

Re: Someone Having Fun With Photoshop!

Check this out... i was working for Mercedes when they came out with the design for this car. The most fascinating thing about this car (called the 'A' class) is that they crash test at the same level as the bigger 'C' class cars (the C230, C240, kompressor) so all in all they are truly SMART cars...

Re: Someone Having Fun With Photoshop!

my friend has some video footage of a smart car in a head on crash test with a dodge neon, it wasted the neon, and came out like a champ...

he is working with the DOT or whoever to get these into the states.... yes I would buy one in a heartbeat.
they get somthing like 70 something MPG.. but they are two seaters only

then select your language...
enjoy.

Re: Someone Having Fun With Photoshop!

That is amazing... I sometimes cringe when I see some of these new cars and they are the size of bread boxes. Especially here in the US where they are sharing the road with Suburbans, Excursions, etc. Maybe that's why they are sold in Europeon countries where the average size of vehicles are much smaller. They must triangulate most of the structure of this car to make it that strong. All I can picture in my mind one of these cars flying through the air like a beach ball if it was hit by anything of size!

Re: Someone Having Fun With Photoshop!

the car is a rolling cage, with removeable and tradeable pannels..
if you don't like the color, swap pannels, and you have another color car...

Re: Someone Having Fun With Photoshop!

Yup... and they Do make a family version of the 'A' class... As a matter of fact, they seat 5 adults and have room for luggage (for an o/niter) in the very back... an still crash test well... go figure.
Oh yeah, they are configured for multiple fueled engines (elec, diesel, gas, nat gas, or any combo of these) with a minimum of conversion to the car itself... meaning that everything just about bolts right up.
