I\'m back! I think.....

Well, it LOOKS like life may take on some form of normal. I have worked the last 35 days straight without a day off, and anywhere from 14 to 20 hours each day. I had my biggest crane, and the most important one, down for a refurb, and I just rode it Friday as we lifted the old reactor head out and the new one in. I have a little work left, but it should be back to 10 hour days. Last week I put in 99 hours. The worst part, after not being near the family, is that they only pay us for a max of 55 hours. That means I put in 44 hours FREE! It sucks. Now it is catch up here and at home. This weekend I had to appease the other half with $2K for the new bathroom I am puting in right now! Here is a pic looking down in Containment from my Polar Crane, 125 feet in the air. In the upper right corner you can see the opening cut through Containment to swap out the reactor heads. The old head is under the white visqueen.

I've done a few outages , lots of work . It's amazing how much gets done in that short amount of time . Good luck with the project , just don't turn yourself into Mr. Allen...

Wish we had more clean nuclear power instead of the camel jockey oil we burn!

Yikes here as well on heights. If i sit still for a long period of time I can kind of adjust, but I like being on the ground as well.

Cool pic and glad to see ya back.

Re: I\'m back! I think.....

Hey, I've been up there... Well , not that one , but one almost just like it . A couple of Boilermakers and I went up to the top to kick some Carpenter butt for tossing insulation on us , asbestos , no less . There is a reason for all of their dumb procedures...
