Finally got some pictures of the Samurai...

Well, I finally used up the rest of my film and got it developed. Here's how the Samurai flexes on Toyota axles, YJ springs, and 35" MT/R's.

Front axle: 1982 Toyota, All Pro Crossover steering arm, custom DOM tierod and draglink.

Rear pinion angle

I'll be tubing the front clip to help the tires clear. They rub as is right now. Other than that, I love it. Let me know what you think. ~Steve

Wow that looks great! What's your suspension and tire size? Any stock axle problems?

Re: Finally got some pictures of the Samurai...

It has a TT YJ spring conversion front and rear with stock 5-leaf pack YJ's at all 4 corners. The front shocks limit my travel big time (and they are about 30" extended)! Oh well, it flexes well enough for me. The tires are 35x12.50 MT/R's.

I broke both front birfields on the stock Samurai axle, but luckily I had the Toy's ready to swap in. I was running 33x12.50 Goodyear MT's on 2" backspaced beadlocks back then. I wheeled with it for a year that way and it only broke the one time. Not too bad if you ask me. ~Steve

It really looks good Steve Im in the process of sellin off all the stuff I did last year so I can start my toy axles have them already with 5:71 set up in em but I going to ditch the YJ's for coil over and see how that works. also stretchen to about 94" and 90 deg. apr. and depar. angles.

Re: Finally got some pictures of the Samurai...

Sounds like a sweet set-up; can't wait to see it. Eventually, I'd like to add about 10" to my wheelbase (via 1/4 eliptical out the back, 90* departure angle) and 37's. I'm working on a truck and trailer right now, though. ~Steve
