Re: hood latches

Re-run the pull cable so its not in the glove box. Its only in there so it can be locked to keep it secure when the top is down.

Re: hood latches

Check farm/hardware store like Thrifty supply or TSC. I've seen rubber hold downs that are short enough to fit a Sami hood.
Or... remove the hood release cable from your glovebox and snake/coil the cable around and relocate the handle in a more accessible spot. I moved mine by installing a small L-bracket to the radiator support bracket and now the release is from the bottom, just beside the radiator. If you don't know it's there, you don't see it and it is easy to 'pop' the hood. Just reach under the bumper and pull. (better for theft deterrent than the jeep style).

Check Roadlessgear, they just came out with a pair of stainless steel ones for $9.95+ shiping.

Re: hood latches

I relocated my pull cable to the front of the truck.
This came in handy when it went up in flames!!!!!!
I just drilled a hole in the body mount support under the front headlight.

Re: hood latches

I just reach up behind the grill and yank on the cable housing. It'll pop right open. Been doing this for years and haven't had a problem yet.
