Myrtle Beach Wheeling?

Anybody in the Myrtle Beach SC area? I'm going to be there next week with the tracker. I'd like to meet some people and do some wheeling.

I live just across the line in North Carolina and Jbird is right there at North Myrtle. Oldfartzuk is down there somewhere to.

Re: Myrtle Beach Wheeling?

How long will you be in Myrtle??
Where are you staying?
I live in North Myrtle Beach almost in Little River.

There's not many places to go wheeling. Mostly just dirt roads. But we can always get together and talk Zuk!

We're going to leave Sat. night or early Sun. and stay until Fri. or Sat. My parents moved there in March. They are near Indigo Creek, south of the airport, where 17 and 17 bus. join. I can post or pm ya while I'm there.

Re: Myrtle Beach Wheeling?

You will be about 30 to 45 minutes from me.
I generally work 8 to 5 monday thru friday, so a weekend day would be better for me. But we can always get together late afternoon or early evening.

There used to be a great place to 4wheel behind Waccamaw Pottery....but like most of our places to 4wheel...it got turned into a Golf Course! I'll call one of my local buddies and see if he knows of any place we can go.

Hey Oldfartzuk....you up for some riding around??? Any places left to ride over around Barefoot?

Re: Myrtle Beach Wheeling?

Havn't been out in the boonie's but I suspect that the white sand trails along the back road behind the Dye Golf Course are still there and ridable. I've been out there a long time ago before we opened our bridge but havn't been there in a long time. As far as riding I only drive oldfartzuk when its below 90 degrees. Don't have AC like JBird. Lately the temp in Myrtle Beach has been around 100 to 105 Heat Index. To hot for my 62 year old 260 Lb fat body... Can't wait for October and heat relief. You can call me at 222-6017 when you get to the beach. You might want to visit Alligator Adventure and see the 1000+ crocodillians, especially UTAN a crocodile who is over 25 ft long and weighs over 2000 Lbs, reortedly the largest known in the world.
