1.6L efi swap

I've noticed most swap the 1.6L in but change to a weber carb. I'm working on this also, but would rather keep the efi. What is needed to keep the motor running? What sensors & electrical connections are absoutely necessary? What about the gas tank & return lines & crap? I want to keep the motor bone stock for reliability. Any pics. or wiring diagrams, etc. would be appreciated. Thanx, Brad.

Re: 1.6L efi swap

Before anyone yells "Do a search!!" I've read through 7 pages & not one of my questions were answered. Putting the motor in isn't the problem---it's the swap-over from the carb wiring harness to the efi. The samurai is pretty much stripped of all the excess wiring--I just need to know what to use off the 'kick to make the 1.6L run. I'm sure there are many of you that have already went through this---I'm seeking your guidance.

Re: 1.6L efi swap

Your going to need EVERTHING from the donor. ECM, harness, every one of the sensors on or off the engine. You will also need either the donor tank, or you might get away with a Sami EFI tank. I think one of the vednors makes a harness kit for about $400? I wasn't keeping track. No reason you can't take both schematic diagrams and trace it out, but it won't be fun. Blow 'Em up BIG on a copier, or you will be blind afterwards though! LOL
