help, my efi sami still won\'t run, do I need......

Well guys I put a new coil and ignitor onto my sami and the that didn't do the trick. My sami just died drivin down the road and never started back up. This has happen to an Amigo my dad owned and he tried everything he could think of and ended up puttin a new coil in it and that solved the problem. So I tried that and no go. There isn't any spark, but it'll crank, all the lights, wipers, and all of the other electronic stuff works. Could it be the ecu? Any thoughts, help, opinions, advise, is good so post away. If it's the ecu does anyone know where I can get one for a decent price? Let me know, thanks,

Specifically check the first fuse from the left on the bottom row... it is the ignition fuse and the engine will not fire without this fuse.

take it to a shop and have them put it on a computer...that way you will know if it is the ECU or not...

that way you don't nickle and dime yourself to death and get way frustrated...

once they tell you what is wrong, then fix it yourself to save money...

I almost garantee it is the ECM. FI samis are known for the ECM to fail. When I did my 16valve convertionI ran across the same thing. Got it all put togetherand wouldn't fire. Replaced the coil, still nothin' repalced ECM fired right up.
There is a place in Texas that rebuilds them. I think it cost about $350. Good luck

Okay I've checked all the fuses, the're all good and the diagnostics code is 41. The guy at Petroworks said that 41 means it needs a new ecu, so I think I'm goin to make another post tryin to get a used ecu. Thanks guys,

Your probably better off having yours fixed. If you find one you are probably going to pay at least $150 for it and chances are it will end up doing the same thing your old one did, then your out $150 and 2 dead ECM's. Just my opinon though.
