Is my secondary not opening??(pony carb)

Ive been thru everything from replacing timing belt to adj. valves, new fuel filter, muffler not clogged, etc to try and find out why I dont have the getty-up I used to have.Only bout a five mph difference(yes, same tires)on top end,but lose power fast in 5th only going up slight hills with only 225s on.Man,its even hard to get to 65 goin downhill. Is there a good way to check the pony carb to see if my secondary is opening??thanks

You said your muffler wasn't clogged, are you running a cat. converter? I had a very similar problem and the cat was clogged. You might also run a can of carb cleaner thru it. Is your timing off?

Yeah,I still have the cat on,so Ill need to check it.The timing has been from about 9 to 13 degrees with no change in speed.Just kinda seemed like a secondary not opening since I barely get to 65 going downhill.

Make sure ALL the hoses are good and not cracked or worse disconnnected.
If you need a kit for the carb e-mail me.....
