I'm gettiung ready to buy a set of 31X10.50X15 Muds for my 410. Anyone with experience with these? What tire is the tread comparable to? Thanks for any insight!

Re: High-Tec Retreads

The Muds are similar to a buckshot mudder, The OTR is more like a ProComp AT, but with big side lugs like the regular Mud. I'm gonna pick up a set of the muds too, but in 30x9.5R15. You should check out their new website, I think it's www.High-tec-Retreading.com. Anybody got pics of the Muds on their Zuk's?

Re: High-Tec Retreads

Not to dis Hi-Tech, as I run them on my Sammy.

But I bought Mastercraft Courser MT's (made by Cooper) for about $75 a tire out the door. since Hi-Tech wants $65 plus shipping for a 33", in my case it's cheaper to stay local.

Shop around, you might find a similar good deal and not have to wait or find some shop to mount & balance them for you. Dunno, the 31's are only $50.

Re: High-Tec Retreads

outa the 10 trucks we wheel or have wheeled with the only thing thats getting more traction is Todds samurai. He has these old discontinued tires called Desert dogs. They are basicly sand paddles and go like hell in the mud and soft dirt . Im defianltey happy for 260 bucks I dont see howu you can realy beat it unless you find a good set of used tires for cheaper.

Re: High-Tec Retreads

I know a guy that has them on a Jeep and he says they seem to work just as well as the BFG MT's they replaced.
