Re: Suzuki Samurai

Not a lot, I think my push lawnmower holds more gas, and I swear I've left more out the back door of the camp while on a binge session.

Re: Suzuki Samurai

after my 88.5 gas tank is totally empty, it will hold no more than 10.3 gallons... the specs show that it is 10.6... now that is without any huge dents in the tank....

Re: Suzuki Samurai

Are you filling it parked level? a bit of slope downhill to the fill neck, and you can easily get an air pocket.

Re: Suzuki Samurai

allways at a parked level..

what happened, was one day several years ago, about a mile from the gas station on a nice even sloped road, I ran out of gas, so I pushed it to the station and filled it up, and it held 10.3 including the filler neck,
usually I shake the rig a bit to get any air out and top the tank off...

Re: Suzuki Samurai

Well, the owners manua,l for what it is worth, says 40L and 10.6 gal. For grins I did the metric conversion and came up with 10.568 gal, which rounds to 10.6. However, concidering it's purpose, I would have rounded down in this case. Keep in mind, that .3 gal is like 3% of capacity. I would concider that well within tolerance.
