Re: 2003 honda samurai?

I would hope that a 2003 Samurai would still have solid axles and a short wheelbase, and be equipped with a minimum of 31x10.50's. I gagged when I first saw the Honda Model X on the auto show circuit as a concept car, and I see that they haven't done much to make the production version any more appealing. I can't even figure out what this thing is supposed to look like. A toaster on wheels? A lunchbox? A briefcase?

I have never been a big fan of hondas and SUVs they are strictly cars and should strictly stay that way! It does look cool and I would use it for a on road driver!

Re: 2003 honda samurai?

Looks like they're trying to turn a mini-van into a SUV. Do you suppose it's actually got a frame? What about a transfer case with a lever for 2/4hi/4lo? Nice try, but I don't think they've got a chance to get any business from me...

" It will be available with either front-wheel-drive or Honda's Real Time 4WD"

I bet it is 4 wheel inpedendent suspension and unibody...probably w/o a low range....too bad.

Re: 2003 honda samurai?

Do you suppose "Honda's Real Time 4WD" has any similarity to what "we" call four wheel drive?

Re: 2003 honda samurai?

I'd love to have that 160 hp 2.4L Vtec or their 3.5L V6 in a small Honda 4WD pickup designed for offroad use, but unfortunately Honda's focus is on cars.
