Grille Mods?

Anyone done some fabricating and made a new grille for thier Zuk? I've seen the SJ410 grilles, and like them but damn if I'll spend $100 for one...thought about tinkering with some expanded metal and thin plate. Got ideas???

Re: Grille Mods?

Here's Justin Fender's homemade 410 grill. He made it from stuff he picked up at Lowes or Home Depot or someplace like that.

Re: Grille Mods?

I have some pictures at home (at work now ) of Rich_D's custom grill. If he doesn't post before, I'll post one tonight. If I remember right, he made it as a hybrid cross between a Samurai and a Cherokee grill, looks great (IMHO).

Re: Grille Mods?

here is a picture of it...
it is out of a grand cherokee.. with about 2 inches hacked out of the center to make the squares shorter and 2 squares hacked out and all of it fiberglassed into the original grill so the mounting is the same and it keeps the headlight things the same...

the little logo you cant read came off a suzuki dealership sticker... a big red S...

Spud if you have a better picture of it, please post it...if you would...
that was the best picture I could find...

Re: Grille Mods?

Again, the creativity here is awesome....
The Suzuki Logo really makes it look complete.
Thats the best looking grille I've seen.

Another picture of Rich's cool grill (I honestly couldn't figure out what it was until he explained, just knew it looked great!):
