Re: need ignitor coil for a 90 sami for a good price

yeah I know I called all of them and either my numbers don't match theirs or they don't have one at all. One guy said "it's a sidekick, right?" I replied "no, it's a samurai", then he said "oh, well same thing", he hung up before I could correct him. If that were the case I wouldn't need one, I'd done use the one on my donor tracker, but it's a totally different coil. How does a person own a junk yard and not know the difference in their cars? Anyways, anyone else, thanks,

Re: need ignitor coil for a 90 sami for a good price

Sorry it's been a while. It just died when I was drivin down the road. It never restarted after it died. The guy I bought it off of did tell me that he had to get a new dizzy, rotor button, ignitor, and new plug wires once, because they burned up pretty bad, he then said that was when he got it after about 20K miles on it. I checked the plus, they looked normal and nothing is burned up. then checked for a spark at the plugs, no spark. I then checked for a spark at the dizzy from the coil, and still no spark. How can I check behind the coil to see if the computer is puttin out a spark? Does it sound like a computer problem or the coil? Thanks for the reply and help, -Drew

i am having the same problem with mine. it is usually the compuer, the pick up in the distributor, or a bad ground. search that carparts site again for a computer. their are places that will rebuild yours for about 200 bucks. you can send your computer to them and they will test it for free. let me know if i can help some more.
