Which is easier weld or repair?

i need to rebuild bothsides of the frontend it leaks gear oil and some shimmy when brakeing like its loose. and its gonna cost about 150.00 to rebuild the front. Which if i pull all that apart i would like to put a locker & beef up the barfields in the front while i'm at it which is more money then should i put power stear on it. or could i weld the front only. and do i have to put barfeild rings in?

or should i just weld on some perches on another axle
and swap'um
can i go to nothern and buy trailer perches
i spent more money on my 1.6 swap than i wanted to so
THE OL'LADY SAYS I'M BROKE and she is rite. so i wanna do a quick fix for the 4th ride

NO, do not get get trailer perches from northern. I thought about it for about 10 seconds one day. They are too small, they aren't wide enough, long enough or strong enough. I would just get a rebuild kit from Randy's R&P. If you got a locker in the rear, put it in the front and weld your rear but I really wouldn't weld the front. IF you end up replacing the whole axle assembly there are alot of places out there where you can get just the front perches for a fair price.
