Hehehe, cool. That just got added to my Sidekick/Tracker screensaver.

Whowever they are, they get kudos for keeping it coil sprung.

Not too bad, lacks in the flex dept. But, other then that,
Just trying to figure out what axle he used? Can't figure it out?!? Anyone know, or have any idea?

Re: straight axel sidekick pict WOW

The aftermarket vendors need to develop a solid axle swap kit for Sidekick like the IFS Chevy guys have. Imagine the potential, I see sidekicks everyday all over the place, so there are plenty around to choose from and they are starting to come down in price. And the best part is, they already have the 1.6L 16v (well, at least a lot of them do). Not only that, but you have your choice of 2 door/4 door and soft top/hard top. 1.8L, 2.0L and 2.5/2.7L swaps shouldn't be as hard to swap into Kicks either I wouldn't think. With Samurais getting harder and harder to find the Suzuki crowd is going to have to move to another platform eventually. I think the Kick is the next logical choice.

The only negative aspect of that in which I could see
would be the transfer case. The kickers/x-90/tracker gears are rather expensive vs the classic samurai gearsets that are avail.

Re: straight axel sidekick pict WOW

The gear prices may be a little high at first, but as more people buy the stuff and more vendors compete for market share, the prices would come down just like anything else. And depending on how the kit was built and which axles it was made to use, gear prices might be that bad for the axles anyway. I think the market is there...I only wish I had the money and now how to get it jump started.

Re: straight axel sidekick pict WOW

Thats was SKY's Kick from http://www.sky-manufacturing.com/ he was testing the flex, to see if the coil spring buckets hit the tires, which they did, after that, he changed it to YJ leafs, with 35's.

Its a toy engine, tranny, X-fer and axles. Basicle he had all the toy stuff and a Kick frame/tub
