Who all has done the subaru rear disc setup?

Just wanting to know who all on this board has done the Subaru Disc setup on the rear of their samurai?

Do you need a proportioning valve? doesn't the samurai already have a P valve in the rear?

pros and cons to this setup please

thanks

Re: Who all has done the subaru rear disc setup?

I did it on my sami axles. Worked great, the ebreak held like a mutha. Brent claims that a port valve is not needed but when I got mine done it was kinda wet out side and the rear did lock up before the front which cause the back end to start to swing around. But with normal breaking it was just fine. I never installed a port valve and never had a problem on the trail.

In rain under normal breaking condtions I noticed no problems. But if you had to slam on your breaks for some reason I could see the potential for bad things to happen. I ran in snow only on the trail and had no problems there either.
