Trade stock t case and Baby Rock Lob for 4.16

I have a stock sammy t case and a professionally rebuilt baby rock lobster (sj410) t case that I would like to trade for a 4.16 t case. Or maybe gears. Bottom line is I want a 4.16 t case and am willing to trade some gear and some cash if need be. I also have a stock steering box and a center console too.

Re: Trade stock t case and Baby Rock Lob for 4.16

I'm not sure what year it is. It has pre 88.5 flanges on it. I paid $300 for it. I really want to get a 4.16 without wasting the $300 I just spent on the baby lob.

$300 and no gear shifter!!!!!

No offense but in my opinion you paid to much for it even though it was rebuilt. I'd call Sean(aftermarket4x4) up and have a heart to heart. He's a good guy and should at least get you a gear shift for it.

BTW...call Brent at Trail Tough. He will do the 4.16 conversion on the gears. He can tell you which gears he needs.

He actually charged me $400. He gave me a $100 refund because it took him a month just to get the thing to me.

Re: Trade stock t case and Baby Rock Lob for 4.16

You paid way to much for it and I would jump aftermarket's @ss for selling it to you for 400.00 You could have bought the 4.16 gears for that. Also you can check the sides of the case to tell if you could use the gears for a 4.16. In the middle of the case there will be a round rodthat goes I believe completely through the case. If there is just an aluminum cap that goes over the rod then you can't cut and weld the gears in it. If you can actually see a black rod that comes out the side a little you can. I believe that anything pre 84 can not be cut and welded. Brent at TT told me those cases aren't even worth 200.00. To me they are cause I don't want the low low range. But for 300 much less 400 and not even send you a shifter is complete BS. I noticed he(Aftermarket 4x4) is selling complete lift kits on ebay. The kits contain spoa pads and thats it.

He said it was worth it because it was rebuilt. I think I'm just going to send it back and do the 4.16.
