Guys running YJ springs...

I plan on swapping out my lifted springs for the SPOA YJ kit and just wanted everyone's opinion on the setup. Much better ride??? I hope :-)
My main concern is the 4.3 I'll be dropping in. I figured if the YJ's can hold up the 4.0, why not the bit heavier 4.3?
Just wanted all of your thoughts and recommendations on the YJ springs...

Thanks!
Steve

Re: Guys running YJ springs...

I've got them and love them! I have the Missing links front and rear and works well, flexes like crazy! I've also got a GM 2.8L V6 in and it works fine! I don't think you will have a problem!

Re: Guys running YJ springs...

Thanks Brian, you've helped me but once again ;-) BTW, who'd you pick them up from? I was searching around and saw a few vendors selling the kits. Your thoughts?
Cheers,
Steve

Re: Guys running YJ springs...

Trail Tough and RRO sell the same missing link setup.
http://www.rocky-road.com/yjkit.html
Asain sells the shackle reversal setup.
<a target="_blank" href=http://www.asianautopartsofaz.com/suzuki/suspension.html>http://www.asianautopartsofaz.com/suzuki/suspension.html</a>
and there is always homebrew stuff too..
personally I'll be doing the TrailTough setup very very soon..

Still torn on S/R front or not? But missing link rears for sure.

Re: Guys running YJ springs...

Well, actually, the TT system would come out to around $490 and the AAPA kit it $500 even. Now, it didn't specify in the TT site but the AAPA kit comes with spring perches included. So I'll probably go with theirs. Only question: what's the diff between shackle reversal and missing link? I read the info at the AAPA site explaining s/r but what about missing link???

Thanks!
Steve

Re: missing link

Expandable? Wow, never got that from the pic. Sounds cool. But which of the 2 systems provide a better ride?

Thanks,
Steve

Re: Guys running YJ springs...

I am running the sami rear's up front with missing links,
and YJ's in the rear with missing links. I had OME 2" on rear before I put the YJ's on.
The OME rode nice, but had little to no stuff. So I swaped in the YJ's.
The ride as good (if not better than) OME did, and kick but on flex (drop &amp; stuff).
At the time I got my YJ kit there was only one set up, the shackel rev. (FRED's CSC).
I didn't want the Shackle rev. so I stayed with the rear's up front.
All in All the YJ's rock for leave springs that flex.
