Bumper and SPOA Combinations

I know this gets covered all the time, but I am still having problems. I want to do a Jeep YJ SPOA all around on my tintop. I would like to use a Calmini C3 front bumper or an ARB Bullbar. However, according to Dave at Asian, the C3 will work with the frame extensions, but it sticks out an extra 4 inches. That doesn't sound like it would look very good and certainly hanging the extra weight of a new bumper won't help either. Does anyone know if a C3 or a Bull bar will fit normally with the Rocky Road YJ kit? I'm looking for alternatives here. I don't mind spending the money to do it right, but I sure as heck don't want to spend the money and have it come out wrong. Give me some feedback.

Re: Bumper and SPOA Combinations

I haven't seen Dave's new kit first hand, but I think it is very similar to the Canyon State (who is out of business) setup. The CSC setup that I have worked fine with the Wheeler's bumper but it is nothing like the C3 or ARB. The CSC kit does work with the ARB though. Talk to Dave and see what bumpers have been used with his setup.

Glenn (RRO) is also on this board so he should be able to answer questions you have about his setup.

Re: Bumper and SPOA Combinations

The new YJ kit we have coming out this Summer will work with all bumpers. We'll specifically test an ARB bumper to make sure it works as well as our front Crawler which fits the Calmini S/R (and so I assume mounts similarly to their C3).
