Fab Fest Project

I've got a question... At FabFest, I'm taking delivery of a newer motor for my Zuk. If I were to take advantage of several watchful eyes for guidance, would this be a good time to try to do an engine swap or are there too many things that could go wrong to even bother?

Re: Fab Fest Project

I put a motor in mine in about 3 hours when my old one let go. I had 2 friends helping me, but it really wasn't all that bad. It was out of a sami that was the same year, so everything just pulgged right up. I am by no means an expert, nor a mecanic, but I just thought I'd let ya know how long it took me! hope this helps!

Re: Fab Fest Project

If the Bedford Boys can build one in three days I am sure for the number of people that will be there,a motor swap would be easy as long as all wire connections are the same like Purevil said.

Hey Murph:

There may be two engines installed at the FabFest!

You want me to bring the hoist?

Re: Fab Fest Project

We have about 5 projects to do now.We are working on projects Fri.and sat.afternoon, then the trail rides start.Murph,If you can make sure you have help,I would say bring it on,but we may not be able to do both your engine and trailor. My garage has a project in it and if it rains your outside unless you do it at the fair grounds, then your working on gravel so you will need plywood to work off of and a tarp to catch oil ect so I can clean the area up with no problems.Your call,RR
