Just Got My 16v but have a Question??

I just got my 16v I paid $450 for this totaled beast and it only had 40,000 miles on it. My Concern is when I was going threw the car I found the owners card and the card said it was a 96 but the door jam said it was a 95. Here is my question, is my wireing harness the good one that is compatable for the conversion. Hope someone out there can give me some advice.

Re: Just Got My 16v but have a Question??

I'm guessing the real question is is it OBDI or OBDII.
How does one know, they are both do-able, I hear the OBDII one is just harder and there is more electrics to deal with.

All right Tom, going with a 16v! I'm picking up my 16v in a week and a half. We'll have to compare notes when installing. You getting Brent to do your harness?

If it's like most autos 96 models were mostly built in 95

Brent can do the OBDII or OBD I, so no worries.

Re: Just Got My 16v but have a Question??

If you haven't found out by now I'm pretty sure the way to tell between OBD1 OBD2 is to look at the distributor. If you have a seperate coil it is OBD1 if the coild is built into the distributor it is OBD2. Hope this helps you out.
